ROBERT MYER
It is an honor and a privilege to be considered to serve on the Contractor Licensing Review Board (CLRB).
Bob has earned the designation of Certified Graduate Builder, and I am currently one class from completing the Master Builder designation. As a residential remodeler and homebuilder for the past twenty-seven years, I advocate the licensing of contractors and feel that licensing would benefit our building community. Bringing our industry together to maintain consistent standards for all contractors will only solidify the craft of homebuilding for those who choose this career path. However I can assist the Board in this endeavor, I'd be more than happy to do so.
I am involved in a number of Home Builders Association (HBA) activities, most recently as a member and past Chairman of the Tour Committee. I have continued to be active with this group for the last eight years. For the past six years, I have also been seated on the Board of Directors of the HBA. This year, I am the Residing Chairman. I am also currently serving on the Community Affairs Selection Committee.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of New Mexico in 1972, and I have been in the homebuilding industry since 1976. I enjoy a seventeen-year marriage to my wife and partner, Laura. I also keep busy with my children, Zach and Shea.
