DANIEL T. TEVIS
Work History and Background
Daniel Terrance Tevis grew up in the Midwest near the farming community
of Beloit, Kansas where he graduated from High School in 1972. After
receiving his Bachelors Degree from the University of Kansas School
of Architecture in 1977, Mr. Tevis started working as an intern
architect fro Architects Design Collaborative (now WRS Architects)
and in 1981, he became registered in Kansas and Missouri. During
the next 11 years, Mr. Tevis worked as a project manager and junior
partner for both WRS Architects and the Architects Consortium, Lenexa,
Kansas. Currently Mr. Tevis is a partner for the firm Tevis Low
Architectural Group P.C., which he founded in 1993. His firm is
a commercial architectural firm specializing in the educational
and healthcare markets.
Mr. Tevis has a strong interest in the advancement of education in the construction and design industry. Mr. Tevis maintained a high level of academic achievement throughout college. From 1984 to 1988 he taught courses in construction documents for the Finley Engineering College. He also taught courses and chaired a committee relating to the Architectural Registration Exams for the local AIA chapter. Mr. Tevis was a pioneer in the advent of computers in the design profession and was one of the first to implement Computer Aided Design in the Kansas City area. Today, his office is exemplary in the development of quality control systems to aid in the deployment of documents and management of the project delivery process.
