Jerry Mallory, C.B.O.
Building Official for Unincorporated Johnson County

Jerry joined Johnson County as a building Inspector in 1989. He was promoted to Building Official in 1993 where he currently serves. Jerry served as President of the Johnson County Building Official Association from 1999 to 2001. He is immediate Past-President. He is also State Coordinator for the Kansas Disaster Program and is on the Board of the Heart of America Chapter of the International Conference of Building Officials. Finally, Jerry sits on two national committees. The first is the National Fire Protection Association’s Building Code Development Committee, a committee responsible for the oversight of the development of the new NFPA 5000 Building Code. The second is a joint FEMA/NIBBS Committee responsible for developing a national standards manual for disaster responders.
