Procedures for seeking education credit for classes taken outside of Contractor Licensing Program.  Education Credit Application: Please understand that classes may or may not qualify for Johnson County Contractor Licensing Continuing Education. If you wish to request credit for education classes other than those provided by Johnson County Contractor Licensing, please submit the following application with the required attachments.

Continuing Education. The CLRB shall establish continuing education requirements, rules, and regulations for contractors licensed under this Chapter. Every contractor shall complete at least 8 hours of continuing education as required by the CLRB each calendar year. CLRB shall provide for the recognition of codes-related education provided by governmental entities, trade associations, contractor education providers, and others for courses and instruction directly related to those codes adopted within Johnson County, Kansas.

Looking for testing information Experior or ICC (International Code Council)

All licensed contractors are required to complete 8 hours of continuing education per license per year.  All hours must be completed to renew a license.


OSHA Training, on a case-by-case basis, as it relates to Chapter 33 of the IBC and NFPA 70, for 4 hours continuing education credit per year, per applicant, not to exceed 7 continuing education credit hours in a 3-year period.
